NYC Pickleball 2025 Leagues Recap and Winter League registration
Winter 2026 Registration Now Open!

It’s been an amazing 2025 League season. Over 500 players have competed or subbed across all our leagues this past year, and I wanted to share some fun stats to give you a sense of our league community. (All data is from league players’ DUPR profiles.

This is nearly identically in line with the entire DUPR database that was recently published by their lead data scientist in a reddit AMA

DUPR distribution data directly from their Lead Data Scientist

🎂 Age Breakdown
Age Band | Players | Avg Rating | Avg Win % | Median Games |
|---|---|---|---|---|
18–24 | 17 | 3.47 | 52.9% | 58 |
25–29 | 88 | 3.43 | 52.0% | 68 |
30–34 | 109 | 3.44 | 52.5% | 77 |
35–39 | 83 | 3.31 | 51.1% | 78 |
40–44 | 35 | 3.29 | 49.6% | 110 |
50–59 | 40 | 2.95 | 46.2% | 98 |
60+ | 4 | 2.92 | 47.7% | 53 |
Ages 25–34 are the league’s competitive peak, but older players bring serious volume and experience
One last interesting chart, showing a scatter plot of total matches played vs win% and colored by DUPR bucket. It should be no surprise that 4.0+ players are predominantly above the 50% win line, and most sub 3.0 players are below the 50% win line. Additionally, the more matches someone plays. the closer the player trends towards the 50% line (generally staying slightly above it). This makes sense as a player’s DUPR matures, they will play more closely competitive games and thus won’t be completely dominating their competition like they may have at the start.
Hopefully you had as much fun looking at these numbers as I did. If you want to be a part of next year’s stats, keep scrolling to see what winter leagues are being offered in 2026!

2026 Winter League Registration is Officially Open!
The first new exciting offering is our first ladder league in Manhattan! We’ve partnered with Conquer and will be hosting a Tuesday evening league in the Upper West Side for players 3.0-3.5. This will be our standard ladder league format, with 30 players across a 6 court league (3 courts 6-8 PM, and 3 courts 8-10 PM.)
The second new offering is a Fixed Partner Tournament Training League at Gotham Pickleball, offered in two flavors, men’s doubles (3.75+) and mixed doubles (3.5+).
The goal for the tournament training league is for you and your partner to get direct explicit feedback from Coach Eric, and opportunities to practice and apply new skills, patterns, and tactics in between DUPR matches. If every team takes their feedback and applies it week to week, everyone will help each other improve. This league will culminate in a two week playoff where there will be one team crowned the top dogs. Only 10 teams per league so grab your partner and sign up fast.
We will continue to run Level 2-4 ladder leagues at Major Owens in Crown Heights and Gotham Pickleball in LIC. For the players looking for the Stuy Dome leagues in Bed Stuy, we are still negotiation dates and will email everyone with an update as soon as we have one.
One change this time around is that there will NOT be a formal pre-registration process. Enough players have DUPR profiles by now, and any league Level 3 and up will require a minimum DUPR to register. If you feel your DUPR does not match your level and can corroborate it with a note from either league manager, a certified coach here in NYC, or video footage, please fill out this form and I will be in contact. Some leagues may still initially prioritize players in the top half of the DUPR range, so if you are technically within the range but still can’t register, fill out the form and I will let you know when the DUPR minimum is lowered.
